As we face the unprecedented threat of COVID-19, we want you to know that the health and safety of our residents and staff remains the center’s top priority.
We are doing everything possible to limit COVID-19’s impact at our center. Our professional staff are doing heroic work throughout this crisis, and we are adhering to recommended protocols and guidelines from local, state, and federal public health agencies and medical experts. The staff continues to follow CDC guidelines, including adhering to protocols for pre-screening residents prior to any admission or re-admission. The center has ongoing monitoring of all residents to include designated units for residents under observation as well as a designated unit specific for COVID-19 positive residents. The center continues with daily screening of staff. The center is also conducting COVID-19 testing of residents and staff as necessary and or required and focus on the continual compliance with infection control techniques and personal protective equipment recommendations.
The center will be in normal operation; however, it will continue with restricted access, limited activities within the center to comply with social distancing, which include therapy services along with meals. We still encourage you to set up virtual meetings with your family member via, Zoom. The center has telemedicine available for all non-essential visitation and those providers, which are deemed necessary to visit the center, must provide confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test result. We have also implemented an additional form of public notification weekly by placing the current count of positive cases, as well as other pertinent information, on our website.
We urge our residents, their families, and the community to remain safe and well throughout this ongoing situation.
We want to convey our sincere concern for those who have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts are with them and their loved ones at this challenging time. This pandemic is unprecedented and our deepest condolences go out to everyone who has lost a loved one during this crisis. In the interest of transparency, we are providing the most current information about the status of COVID-19 at our center. We urge our residents, their families, and the community to remain safe and well throughout this ongoing situation.
* Note: Staff that test positive for COVID-19 are placed on leave and not allowed to work in the center until they have two negative tests for COVID-19 at least 24 hours apart.
